Police Records Requests

All requests for Police Department records are processed in accordance with Washington State Public Records Act (RCW 42.56). To initiate a request for any city record, you must submit through our online portal, https://monroewa.nextrequest.com/

Every effort will be made to supply the requested information, however some cases under investigation or containing non-conviction data may not be available for release.

You will receive a response within five business days.

Collision reports can be obtained from the Washington State Patrol at www.wsp.wa.gov/driver/collision-records/.

Public records can be made available for records inspection or copying during business hours unless prior arrangements are made with the Public Records Officer.

A $1.50 processing fee for the first five pages may be required for copies of records to be released.

If you are seeking public records other than Monroe Police Department records, please go to our Requesting Records page for more information. View the City's Public Records Act Policy.
