Use of Force Reporting: In accordance with state law, the Department submits required use-of-force data to Washington State Data Exchange for Public Safety (WADEPS), the state-appointed custodian of Washington’s police use-of-force reporting system. This reporting requirement, established by the legislature, is intended to improve transparency, build community trust, and support evidence-based decision-making.
