This project is a Preservation effort to grind and overlay N. Kelsey Street, from US 2 to an existing roundabout at Chain Lake Road. Asphalt surface will be milled an average 2" and replaced with new 1/2" HMA. ADA ramps will be upgraded within the project corridor as deemed necessary to meet current federal ADA compliance. Pavement markings will be restored as necessary.
In 2022, the city received a grant for $696,481 from the Puget Sound Regional Council. This money will be used for Design and Construction purposes.
The Project is currently is the design phase by the City Engineering Staff. Construction is scheduled to occur during the summer of 2026.
