ROAD CLOSURE: SAMS ST WILL BE CLOSED TO THROUGH TRAFFIC FROM OCTOBER 23 THROUGH OCT 31 FROM SUMAC TO POWELL. A DETOUR IS AVAILABLE ON BLAKELEY. LOCAL ACCESS ONLY WILL BE PERMITTED.
The Sumac Corridor Utility Project will replace aging water main and sewer main along the Sumac Corridor. The utility systems have been failing in multiple locations and will need to be upgraded to new 8" PVC for sewer and 8" Ductile Iron for water. The project is split into two phases lasting two construction seasons. The first phase will consist of replacing Water and Sewer mains along Sams St, Circle Drive, and Blakeley St. from Sumac to Powell. Phase 2 will consist of replacing the water and sewer mains along Sumac Dr and Riverview Dr. during the summer of 2026. Included in the project is main piping, property service connections, re-paving the asphalt, and all necessary property restoration to return the site to existing conditions.
