On July 14, 2025, Mayor Geoffrey Thomas and Councilmembers hosted a ribbon cutting of the remodeled City Hall and Monroe Municipal Court. Legislative guests included Senator Keith Goehner and Representatives Mike Steele and Brian Burnett (12th District) and Representative Carol Eslick (39th District). Judge Jessica Ness was joined by the Mayor, City Council and special guests to ceremoniously cut the ribbon inside the new Monroe Municipal Court.
