Trombley Hill Water Transmission Main Replacement

NOTICE: City of Monroe Water System Testing Notice

The City of Monroe will be conducting water system testing from February 3 through February 10.

During this testing period, residents may experience temporary changes in water pressure. These fluctuations are normal and expected while testing is underway.

Residents are asked to contact City Hall only if they experience a complete loss of water service.

The 2025-2044 Comprehensive Plan update identified an important artery in the City of Monroe water system that needs to be replaced due to aging pipe. This project has identified approximately 6100 feet of 16" pipe that will be replaced with new 24" HDPE pipe. The project begins at the Trombley Hill Reservoir and connects along Airport Road near the Evergreen Fairgrounds.
The design is being provided by AKS Consulting Inc and coordinated by engineering staff at the City. The design phase is anticipated to be completed in February 2026, after which the City will advertise the project for contractor bids. Construction is expected the summer of 2026.
