The City of Monroe is accepting applications to serve on the Lodging Tax Advisory Committee. The term of committee membership begins July 1, 2014.
This year’s vacancies are for:
• One representative of hotel-motel business required to collect the lodging tax; and,
• One person involved in activities authorized to be funded by revenue received from the lodging tax (tourism promotion or tourism related facility)
The Lodging Tax Advisory Committee reviews all requests for hotel-motel tax funding, and makes recommendations to the Monroe City Council. One or two meetings will be held in July/August and another one or two meetings will be held in October/November.
Please submit your letter of interest to serve on the committee, along with your qualifications, to Elizabeth Smoot, City Clerk, 806 West Main Street, Monroe, WA 98272 (esmoot@monroewa.gov) by June 16, 2014.
