Notice is hereby given that at the February 4, 2014, regular meeting of the Monroe City Council, the City Council will consider passage of a resolution expressing support for Monroe School District No. 103 Proposition No. 2, which will be submitted to local voters at the February 11, 2014, special election. The meeting will be held at 7:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers of Monroe City Hall. Prior to the City Council’s vote on the proposed resolution, City Council Members and members of the public will be afforded an equal opportunity for the expression of opposing views.

EDUCATIONAL TECHNOLOGY LEVY
The Board of Directors of Monroe School District No. 103 approved Resolution No. 13-2013 concerning a proposition for a technology levy to advance student learning. This proposition would authorize the District to levy the following excess taxes on all taxable property within the District to acquire and modernize educational technology systems and equipment to increase student access to technology, improve communication and support for families and the community, and provide training for installation and classroom use:
