Notice is hereby given that at the February 4, 2014, regular meeting of the Monroe City Council, the City Council will consider passage of a resolution expressing support for Monroe School District No. 103 Proposition No. 1, which will be submitted to local voters at the February 11, 2014, special election. The meeting will be held at 7:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers of Monroe City Hall. Prior to the City Council’s vote on the proposed resolution, City Council Members and members of the public will be afforded an equal opportunity for the expression of opposing views.

RENEWAL OF EXPIRING SCHOOL PROGRAM AND OPERATIONS LEVY
The Board of Directors of Monroe School District No. 103 approved Resolution No. 12-2013 concerning a proposition for a replacement levy for education. This proposition would authorize the District to levy the following excess taxes, in place of an expiring levy, on all taxable property within the district, to maintain current educational program funding levels and support the District’s educational programs and operations:
