Come and join the Big Heart Big Smile Foundation run (or walk) at the Kaci Edelbrock Memorial 5K & Battle of the Badges May 4, 2025 at Lake Tye Park.

Battle of the Badges: 12pm
Registration cost includes a race shirt and a good time! Register by April 1st to guarantee your race shirt. Online registration closes May 2nd, but you can still sign up for the 5k on event day.
The idea behind this race was to bring the community together, be outside and run in memory of Kaci. Kaci herself never stopped! She was such a spirited girl that was constantly on the go trying to keep up with her older brothers and their friends.
The Big Heart Big Smile Foundation was created by Kaci’s mom and dad (Joni and Boyd) to incorporate more activities to benefit the Monroe community and to keep their daughters name alive. The Kaci 5K invites all families to run/walk with babies in strollers and dogs on leashes.
Kaci would have wanted everyone to be included. All of the money raised for this event goes directly to a Monroe High School scholarship. The goal is to keep his activity and scholarship going until Kaci would have graduated…2030. Ultimately the foundation wants to keep it going for many more years.
