[ARCHIVED] Parks Closed: High Wind Advisory

Park Closures Wind Advisory

The National Weather Service has issued a high wind warning through tomorrow morning. In preparation, Lewis Street Park and Al Borlin Park are closed until 10am Saturday, February 17.

High Wind Warning:
What: East winds 30 to 40 MPH with Gusts Up to 60 MPH Expected.
Where: East Puget Sound Lowlands.
When: from 7am Friday Morning to 10am PST Saturday.
Impacts: damaging winds will Blow Down Trees and Power Lines. Widespread Power Outages are Expected. Travel will Be Difficult, Especially for High Profile Vehicles.
Additional Details: Strongest winds will Occur Late Friday Afternoon Through Early Saturday Night from Gold Bar Southward to North Bend and Enumclaw, Affecting the I - 90 and Us – 2 Corridors. People Should Avoid Being Outside in Forested Areas and Around Trees and Branches. if Possible, Remain in the Lower Levels Of your Home During the windstorm, and Avoid Windows. Use Caution If you Must Drive.
