[ARCHIVED] Monroe Police Department Neighborhood Watch Program

The Monroe Police Department would like to invite citizens to participate in the Neighborhood Watch program. Knowing your neighbors is valuable crime prevention. The Police Department offers assistance to neighbors wishing to organize and maintain a Neighborhood Watch program. This program has evolved over the years since its inception in 1972. The Neighborhood Watch program currently incorporates area Facebook pages and blogs to assist in communication among neighbors. This program has not lost its impact even though families and living situations have changed dramatically since the 1970’s, one of the best crime prevention assets are the eyes and ears of those who live and belong in a neighborhood.

Please contact Community Service Officer Whalen for a Neighborhood Watch information packet and to schedule your first informational meeting. 360-794-6300 ex 3107.
