Notice is hereby given that the May 5, 2020 Monroe City Council Regular Study Session Meeting has been cancelled for the following reason:
Washington’s Stay Home Stay Healthy Order has been extended by Governor Inslee until May 31st. As of the publication of this notice, the Governor’s Proclamation 20-28, which modified sections of the Open Public Meetings Act to allow for remote meetings during the Stay Home Stay Healthy Order, has not been extended to be consistent with the May 31st timeline. Because of this conflict and the need to give 24 hour notice of cancellation, the May 5, 2020 Monroe Council Meeting is cancelled.
Discussion items from the May 5, 2020 meeting are rescheduled as follows:
• Item 1 – 2020 Budget Assumptions Related to COVID-19 to May 12, 2020
• Item 2 – Economic Development Advisory Board Recommendations for City
Small Business Stimulus to May 12, 2020
The next regular meeting (Business Meeting) will be held Tuesday,
May 12, 2020, 7 p.m., via Zoom – remote meeting platform. Participation information will be posted with the May 12th agenda.
