On Tuesday, December 10, 2024, Mayor Geoffrey Thomas signed an ordinance adopting the Monroe 2044 Comprehensive Plan. This 20-year plan will guide the future development of the City of Monroe by identifying short-range and long-range needs necessary to accommodating growth.
The signing of this ordinance concludes a more than two-year planning process that required a great effort and collaboration between community members, city staff, and city council. Thank you to everyone for your involvement in this process.
