MONROE – January 26, 2021: At 3:18 pm, a Monroe Police Department motorcycle officer was rear ended by a Subaru station wagon near the intersection of eastbound SR 2 and Lewis Street. The officer was transported to EvergreenHealth in Monroe for non-life threatening injuries.
The Washington State Patrol took the driver of the Subaru, a 35-year-old male from Monroe, into custody for Driving Under the Influence. The collision is under investigation by the Snohomish County Collision Investigative Unit. US 2 remains closed eastbound between Lewis St and N Kelsey St.
