President Obama has directed flags at all public buildings and grounds, at all military posts and naval stations, and on all naval vessels of the Federal Government in the District of Columbia and throughout the United States and its Territories and possessions be lowered to half-staff immediately and should be flown at half-staff through Thursday, June 16th, 2016 as a mark of respect for the victims of the senseless acts of violence on Sunday, June 12th, 2016 in Orlando, Florida.
Flags should remain at half-staff until sunset on Thursday, June 16th, 2016.
Other government entities, businesses, and citizens are encouraged to join in this recognition.
