[ARCHIVED] Flag Lowering

Governor Inslee is deeply saddened by the death of Washington National Guard SSG Matthew McClintock, 30, of Des Moines, and directs that Washington State and United States flags at all state agency facilities be lowered to half-staff in his memory on Thursday, February 25, 2016.. He was killed in action on January 5 in the Helmand Province in South Afghanistan. SSG McClintock was posthumously promoted to Sergeant First Class.

Flags should remain at half-staff until close of business or sunset on February 25 or first thing Friday morning, February 26, 2016.

Other government entities, citizens and businesses are encouraged to join this recognition.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, February 25, 2016, at 3:00 PM at JBLM Lewis North Chapel.
