This capital project will replace approximately 3,200 feet of aging water main under 132nd Street SE, which is located in unincorporated Snohomish County. New fire hydrants and residential service connections to existing are also part of this project. The design phase was accomplished in 2018, followed by construction in 2019.
City engineering staff completed the design in 2018. The project was advertised to the public for contractor bids in January, 2019. SRV Construction Inc was the lowest bidder and will be awarded the contract to perform the work. Construction is anticipated to begin the last week of March.

The waterline construction is complete. The City of Monroe will be resurfacing the street as part of the committment with Snohomish County. A new asphalt overlay is scheduled to occur during the weekend of September 28th. Expect construction activity on both Saturday and Sunday as crews take advantage of good weekend weather to complete the project . Thank you for your patience!
