Virtual Town Hall: New COVID Relief Package

The City of Monroe is holding its second virtual Town Hall to discuss new COVID-19 legislation providing assistance and relief to small businesses, and its impact on Monroe's Business Community. Following an introduction and welcome from Mayor Geoffrey Thomas, Economic Development Specialist James Palmer will provide details on the following topics:
- The most recent round of stimulus funding from the Federal Government including the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) and Economic Injury Disaster Loan (EIDL) program.
- The Working Washington Small Business Emergency Grant.
- How the Employment Security Department is handling unemployment benefits.
- Governor Inslee’s recent press conference regarding the path to re-opening the economy.
This Town Hall meeting will be held remotely. The City of Monroe encourages the public to participate by attending the virtual meeting presentation, and to ask questions, which will be answered during the question and answer period.
If have questions about any of the financial assistance programs, the City encourages you to submit them in advance to Economic Development Specialist James Palmer at JPalmer@MonroeWA.gov. Questions submitted in advance will be answered first, then questions will be taken and answered live during the remaining time.
